The Ming Tombs are located in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, about fifty kilometers from the Beijing city. They are the tombs of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368—-1644 A.D). It was originally built only as Changling, the tomb of Emperor Zhu Di and his empresses. This is the most magnificent of the tombs. The succeeding twelve emperors had their tombs built around Changling. There China Pictures come from Beijing Pictures.
